Who Is Hosting Saturday Night Live Tonight: June 11, 2016

Saturday Night Live is not live tonight, but NBC will be re-airing an episode from earlier this year, and its a good one starring Larry David as host, and The 1975 as musical guest. The episode originally aired on February 6, 2016, as part of SNL’s 41st season.
This was one of the most highly anticipated episodes in recent memory, because not only was it David’s first time hosting the show that once completely ignored him for a year when he was a writer there in 1984, but because since then, Larry has become one of the biggest names in comedy, and the world has recognized him as one of he funniest people on the planet.
Wait it gets better- because former Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders looks and acts a lot like Larry, LD has made a number of appearances on SNL this year in character as Bernie, and on this episode, we got to see the real Bernie Sanders join up with Larry in a sketch.
And David did not disappoint as host. The episode has some of our favorite sketches of the entire season. Keep your eye out for our #1 pick- Bern Your Enthusiasm- with David as the Presidential Candidate. We also loved the Steam Ship sketch about an old timey ship that’s run aground. Larry, playing an old timey version of himself doesn’t buy the “women and children first” thing. There’s also a great sketch featuring Pete Davidson as the teacher of a songwriting class, a brilliant digital short parodying a Totino’s Pizza Roll Super Bowl commercial, and a great sketch at a bar with Larry and Kate McKinnon having an unlikely attraction.
The episode airs at 11:30pm on NBC. Saturday Night Live returns live in the fall. The season concluded two weeks ago and the finale was hosted by Fred Armisen.
