Who Is Hosting SNL Tonight May 28, 2016

Saturday Night Live isn’t live tonight, but NBC will be airing a repeat of an episode from earlier this season hosted by Russell Crowe with musical guest Margo Price.
The episode initially aired April 9, 2016. It was Crowe’s first time helming the episode and although he’s not known for his comedic roles, he’s currently co-starring in the movie The Nice Guys, with Ryan Gosling. The Nice Guys is nothing if not a comedy- okay its an action comedy- but the point is Russell is perfectly capable of being funny.
Crowe is best known for his roles in Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind.
There are highlights from the episode including a sketch where Crowe plays a hologram of King Henry VIII as part of an interactive museum exhibit gone awry. We also liked Crowe’s appearance in a sketch about reality show, 100 Days in the Jungle, a digital sketch created by SNL writer and sometime cast member Mike O’Brien who also stars as Oprah and a very weird guest appearance by Al Sharpton.
It’s not an all time greatest episode, but it’s solid SNL. Worth watching if you missed it the first time around.
Saturday Night Live wrapped Season 41 last week with guest host Fred Armisen and returns for season 42 in the fall.
