Who is Hosting Saturday Night Live Tonight

Tonight is the season finale of Saturday Night Live and the special guest host for the 41st season ender is none other than SNL alum Fred Armisen. Armisen was a highly influential SNL castmember and writer from 2003 until he left the show in 2013.
Some of Armisen’s most memorable characters from his SNL run include one half of the singing duo Garth and Kat, Venezuelan nightclub comedian Fericito, Ian Rubbish, and half of a gay couple from New Jersey. He also did a number of celebrity impressions- most notably President Obama, and also Prince, Joy Behar, Steve Jobs, and a controversial impression of New York’s Governor Paterson. Since leaving SNL Armisen has been busier than ever, creating, writing and starring in six seasons of IFC’s hit series Portlandia, serving as bandleader for the 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers, creating, writing and starring in the critically acclaimed IFC series Documentary Now! with his SNL buddies Bill Hader and Seth Meyers, and appearing in plenty of comedy movies.
We’re expecting guest appearances from SNL alumni who Armisen has remained close with, after all it is the season finale, and Armisen is SNL royalty. Fred’s musical guest is Courtney Barnett.
In a series of promos, current SNL castmember Kate McKinnon and Fred head out to Central Park for a change of scenery. It’s springtime in New York and the sun is out, the birds are chirping, and you can hear all the beautiful noises of nature. In the first promo, Fred jumps ahead a little– he’s excited- and you will hear an impassioned plea from Kate and Fred to cancel your plans, give the babysitter the night off and stay home to watch tonight’s big finale. They promise that tonight’s important and special episode will answer all your questions that the season has been building too, so it will be worth your while. In a second Central Park promo, Kate tries to find out from Fred if “it feels good to be home.” Seems like it doesn’t.
In the third promo series, Bobby Moynihan joins Fred and musical guest Courtney Barnett on the SNL stage and Fred finds out that he’s still got it. Watch till the end to see some really graceful choreography.
