Alex Rodriguez Announces He Is Retiring After 2017

One of the best hitters and most controversial players of all time, Alex Rodriguez has announced that after he finishes out his current $275 million Yankee contract in 2017 he is going to be calling it quits. This comes as a surprise to many since he came out so fired up last season after missing an entire year. The most shocking part is that A-Rod is 76 home runs away from the all time home-run record where he currently sits fourth and is only 28 away from passing Babe Ruth. Don’t be too shocked if he ends up playing another year though, it’s not like the guy hasn’t lied before.
