The Return of New Material Seinfeld
There’s been a giant hole in late night ever since the Pete Holmes show left the air, but today there is cause for celebration because one of our favorite bits from the show is back. Today Joe DeRosa announced on his Twitter that he and Pete Holmes have created and released three episodes of a brand new webseries focused entirely on New Material Seinfeld on YouTube.
It’s a good thing too because we just noticed all the old episodes of New Material Seinfeld are gone from YouTube.
“New Material” (who is voiced by Joe DeRosa) is a good friend of Pete Holmes but always had a hard time finding places to work on new materials so he would drop by Pete’s show to work some things out. It’s been almost two years since we’ve seen NMS, but now he’s back and making up for lost time with a ton of new material. Now N.M. Seinfeld and Pete are hanging out in a green room (more specifically a white green room), sharing jokes, and getting some feedback.
Well at least one of them is getting feedback. New Material Seinfeld is working on some ideas about windshields, sunglasses, the internet, ghost cows, books and food courts. Pete’s suggestions aren’t going over well, and he doesn’t really get a chance to bounce his ideas off his buddy. Guess its not called New Material Pete Holmes.
Spoiler Alert though, Pete gets his revenge in Episode 3. Stay tuned…
