Larry David Hosting SNL Tonight

Larry David surprised everyone earlier this year when he showed up on SNL to play the politician he was born to play- Bernie Sanders. This Saturday Night, Larry David will host Saturday Night Live.

Larry David was of course a writer for SNL for one year, in 1984, and is famous for only getting one sketch on the show during his time there.  That doesn’t mean his time with the series didn’t pay off– there were some epic stories originating from his time at SNL including the real life incident that inspired the episode of Seinfeld where George quits his job and then shows up on Monday like nothing ever happened.

This will be Lah’s first time hosting Saturday Night Live and Friday the news broke that David will be joined by presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.  We’d be excited any time Larry David showed up at SNL, but to have him host, and to have Bernie Sanders join him should lead to a big giant ball of hilarious.

In promos released this week Leslie Jones sits down with Larry David at Bills Burgers at 30 Rock.  In Jones’s promos with David, we learn that someone’s not very interested in promoting the show, and hear Jones own theme music. Normally Leslie likes to flirt with the male hosts in the promos but not this time. She’s just not feeling it.  In the second clip, Kate McKinnon has another tactic to soften up this week’s curmudgeonly host.
