Robin Williams Widow Talks About Robin’s Suicide With ABC
For the first time since his death in 2014, Robin Williams widow is talking publicly about the horrible night that she discovered her husband had committed suicide. She also shared never before released home movies during the interview. Williams committed suicide, by hanging himself with a belt on August 11, 2014. It was revealed that Williams was battling depression, and complications related to the onset of Parkinson’s disease.
Susan Williams spoke with ABC News’ Amy Robach in an interview that will air on Tuesday, November 4 on Good Morning America. Susan and Robin met in 2009 and married in 2011, and then after his death, she was involved in a highly publicized fight over the Williams estate with his children from previous marriages.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Susan revealed her reaction to his death. “I just screamed, Robin, what happened? What did you do?” she said.
Portions of the interview will air on ABC’s good morning America on Tuesday morning, with additional portions to be aired on Nightline Tuesday night on November 4.
