Trevor Noah needs to make a big impression when he takes over the Daily Show next week- he’s stepping into some very big shoes.  We’ll have to wait until Monday to know what to expect, but who a new host selects to be their first guests can be a good indicator at least of the direction they’re looking to take the show in, and Trevor is starting off with a pretty diverse lineup for week one.

Noah kicks off his run with comedy mega star and fellow stand up comedian Kevin Hart in studio, a move that will bring in a lot of viewers as Hart keeps his interview schedule a little tighter than most.  He’s also bringing in New Jersey Governor and Presidential Candidate Chris Christie, singer songwriter Ryan Adams, and the CEO of Bumble, 26 year old Whitney Wolfe who also co-founded Tinder.

  • September 28: actor/comedian Kevin Hart, “What Now? Tour”
  • September 29: Whitney Wolfe, founder and CEO of Bumble
  • September 30: Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ), Republican Presidential Candidate
  • October 1: musician Ryan Adams, “1989”

Before joining the Daily Show as a correspondent in December 2014, Noah was a giant international stand up star, routinely performing in huge theaters and arenas around the world.  Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart personally called Noah a year before that telling him they would do whatever it takes to get Trevor on board (read more about that in our piece 11 Things We Learned About Trevor Noah and 8 Things We Learned From Trevor Noah).

“The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” premieres on Monday, September 28 at 11:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.
