A Native American woman took to twitter to complain about the Disney movie Pocahontas’ movie description on Netflix, which she stated was both racist and sexist. The description stated “An American Indian woman is supposed to marry the village’s best warrior, but she yearns for something more–& soon meets Capt. John Smith”. Right or wrong, we wouldn’t get so worked up about the historically inaccurate Disney movie from 20 years ago. Spoiler alert: It has a happy ending.
