Mr. Bean Rides Around Buckingham Palace For Silver Anniversary

Rowan Atkinson has been known for many roles – Blackadder, The Thin Blue Line, Johnny English – but in America he’s probably best known for Mr. Bean. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the character’s first appearance on television, and Atkinson celebrated on Friday by taking a ride around The Mall up to Buckingham Palace. Atkinson rode on top of Bean’s trademark green 1976 Mini, reminiscent of a skit from 1994’s “Do-It-Yourself Mr. Bean.” Bean greeted fans who had gathered for the event, and posed with a birthday cake with his precious Teddy. Hopefully he managed to avoid head-butting the Queen this time…
