According to TV By the Numbers, The week of guests will feature five musical acts, a few Hollywood celebs, two CEO’s in the news, a giant author and politician.
Tuesday, September 8th, George Clooney, will guest along with Jeb Bush, and music by Colbert’s musical director Jon Batiste and Stay Human.
On Wednesday, Scarlett Johansson, SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk, will be on the show with musical guest Kendrick Lamar.
Thursday check out a conversation with Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, and music by Toby Keith.
Friday Amy Schumer and Stephen King will hang on Colbert’s couch? chairs? with music by Troubled Waters.
Interestingly, the first week features musical performances every night, but no stand-up sets. The lone comedian in the first week is Amy Schumer. The eclectic mix of guests shows the variety that Colbert will likely host on his program, with A-list celebrities like George Clooney and Scarlett Johannson, but also those on the business side.
