EPIX Will Air Marc Maron Hour Special
A Marc Maron one hour special will air on the EPIX channel. The hour was filmed at the Vic Theater in Chicago earlier this year and will mark the first time Maron has aired a televised special in over 20 years, THR reports.
“I’m really excited about this special,” said Maron. “The Vic is an amazing theater, and the crowd in Chicago was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever been funnier, and I should know.”
Epix president and CEO Mark S. Greenberg added: “Marc’s edgy, smart approach to comedy is admired not only by his peers but by fans worldwide. This has been a banner year for Epix comedy specials, and we are honored to continue presenting our viewers with the best stand-up comedy acts performing today, uncut and uncensored.”
Maron is calling the special “More Later.” Bobcat Goldthwait directed.
“More Later” will air December 4 on EPIX.
