President Obama Tells Jon Stewart He Can’t Leave the Daily Show

Last night President Obama returned to Comedy Central to sit down with Jon Stewart on the Daily Show, for last time.
The Prez came out to Thunderous applause (yes with a capital T) and charmed the audience saying, “I can’t believe that you’re leaving before me” to Stewart. “In fact,” he said, “I’m issuing a new executive order. That Jon Stewart can not leave the show.”
Like old friends, Stewart bantered with the President on all things political from Iran,, to Obamacare, and what the President will try to accomplish in his last 18 months. “You don’t have enough time left to take away everyone’s guns, declare martial law,” Stewart warned, but Obama said he wants to really focus on climate change.
They also talked about the media with Obama admitting that “some get on my nerves more than others.” He said he isn’t so concerned about media being hard on the government, but said “I think [the media] gets distracted by shiny outfits and doesn’t always focus on the big tough choices and decisions that have to be made.” The President admitted that the White House has been slow to adapt to new technologies. “The structure in the White House is not well adapted to this new environment,” he said, “and we were too slow to make changes that would allow us to have more meaningful interactions.”
Stewart wrapped the interview asking about the President’s advice to bequeath to future President Trump. “I’m sure the republicans are enjoying the dominance of Trump,” he said.
Stewart did not ask the President what his favorite color was or his favorite brand of Speedo.
