‘Friends of the People’ Combine the Benefits of Tinder and Uber

Sketch television is amazing this year, and one of our favorite sketch shows on television is back on Thursday July 16th at 10:30pm on TruTV with all of our favorite Friends!
In the mid-season premiere you will laugh. We guarantee it.
In the first episode, the Friends will attempts to pull off the ultimate million dollar heist—on the game show “Whom Would Like to Be a Millionaire”—but it’s not Regis, they’ll have to outwit but host Ben Bailey. In a United Losers of America PSA, Josh Rabinowitz and Kevin Barnett show how fourth grader cargo shorts can accidentally lead to serious jail time. Then in Gotham City, a dying Batman passes on his legacy to guest star/R&B singer Brian McKnight who, as the “Dark McKnight,” fights crime against his arch enemy, the Joker (Jermaine Fowler) with the power of his cool, sexy voice.
Plus, FOTP pays tribute to one of television’s greatest shows in their version of “Black” Mad Men and demonstrates the benefits of Tinder meets Uber app, “Tuber.”
Conceived by the comic minds of Kevin Barnett, Jennifer Bartels, Jermaine Fowler, Lil Rel Howery, The Lucas Bros., and Josh Rabinowitz this season will also feature guest appearances from David Alan Grier, Jim Norton, Rachel Dratch, Ellen Cleghorne, Ed Lover, Doug E. Doug, Jay Bromley, Mick Foley, and many more, along with man-on-the-street segments taped in NYC.
Friends of the People Season 1.5 Premiers Thursday, July 16, at 10:30 p.m. on TruTV.
