John Oliver Calls Out Chicken F***ers
Last night on Last Week Tonight, John Oliver took on the plight of the American chicken farmer, and he is calling out the chicken fuckers.
The American chicken farmer is in a really bad place. It’s completely fucked and there isn’t a lot they can do about it because they don’t have any power against the chicken industry. It ain’t pretty for the chickens, and it’s really bad for the farmers, and it’s not even good for the people who end up buying the chicken, and eating the chicken. And since the American diet is pretty chicken centric — with staples like popcorned chicken, fingered chicken, mickey moused chicken, and bucketed chicken– this affects everyone.
There have been some pretty tough obstacles to change, but Last Week Tonight has a way you can help. There’s an amendment to a bill that has been proposed to protect farmers just a tiny bit by stopping big biz from retaliating any time farmers speak out about the problems. Oliver wants to help this bill pass so he’s sharing the names of everyone who will vote on the amendment. I’m not saying Oliver is telling you to change their wikipedia page to call them chicken fuckers if they don’t vote the right way, but, yeah, he is telling you to do that.
