Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Kristin Wiig Star in 3 Night Comedy Mini-Series Event On IFC In July

The comedy mini-series “The Spoils Before Dying” launches this July over three nights on IFC. “Before Dying” is the follow up to “The Spoils of Babylon”. The mini-series event is based on the latest fictional novel by acclaimed fictional author Eric Jonrosh played by Will Ferrell.

IFC President Jennifer Caserta said, “Banned around the world almost five decades ago, The Spoils Before Dying is a gritty and unrelenting tale of forbidden everything. We may all wind up in jail, but this epic tale of sex, drugs, violence and jazz WILL be seen.”

“The Spoils Before Dying” stars Michael Kenneth Williams as Rock Banyon. He’s the obvious suspect in a double-murder that takes place in Los Angeles’ seedy jazz scene involving his lover Fresno Foxglove played by Maya Rudolph and another man she’s been seeing. Banyon has 72 hours to clear his name or face the chair. He’s going to need help, so he heads to Old Mexico and finds a woman from his past, the big band singer he used to work with, Delores DeWinter played by Kristen Wiig. Now they’re on a dangerous search for the truth.

The comedy mini-series also stars Haley Joel Osment, Michael Sheen, Kate McKinnon, Molly Shannon, Tim Meadows, Lou Gossett Jr., Chris Parnell, Emily Ratajkowski, Steve Tom, Marc Evan Jackson, Jesse Williams, Andrew Daly, Chris Mulkey, Chin Han, Ted Levine, Jack Kilmer, Bérénice Marlohe and Patty Guggenheim.

“The Spoils Before Dying” runs on Wednesday, July 8th, Thursday, July 9th and Friday, July 10th at 9pm et each night on IFC.
