New “Vacation” Coming Sooner To Get A Jump On “MI:5”

New Vacation Movie Moves Up Release Date
A new generation of Griswolds is heading out on the road in the Warner Bros reboot of the “Vacation” comedy franchise. And the film will be starting its Summer run two days earlier. The studio announced that “Vacation” will open nationwide on Wednesday, July 29th instead of waiting until that Friday. This gives the comedy a two day head start over Tom Cruise’s “Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation”.
The decision to move up the “Vacation” remake starring Ed Helms as a grown up Rusty Griswold taking his own family across the country, is because of the positive reviews it got during a partial screening at CinemaCon. According to Deadline, “exhibitors and members of the media were holding their stomachs laughing at the Vacation footage Warner Bros teased”.
The movie co-stars Christina Applegate, Leslie Mann, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day, Keegan-Michael Key, Tim Heidecker and Nick Kroll with appearances from Beverly D’Angelo and Chevy Chase as Ellen and Clark Griswold from the original film.
“Vacation” now opens nationwide Wednesday, July 29th.
