Amy Schumer Music Video: “Girl, You Don’t Need Makeup”
Tuesday on a brand new episode from Season 3 of “Inside Amy Schumer”, it was the debut of the new music video for “Girl, You Don’t Need Makeup”. It’s a musical tribute to the natural beauty of women. In the video, a boy band is serenading Amy with an anthem that says women don’t need to layer on the makeup to look good.
The obvious tip of the hat to One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” starts to go wrong when Amy takes the boy band’s advice and scrubs her face clean. The guys start have a change of heart singing that maybe they “spoke too soon” and that “just a touch of foundation” would keep her from looking like “the ghost from The Ring”.
The New York Post reported that the song’s title “Girl, You Don’t Need Makeup” started a hashtag movement on Twitter with women posting makeup free photos and beauty magazines tweeting links to the song.
“Inside Amy Schumer” airs Tuesdays at 10:30pm et on Comedy Central.
