Cecily Strong Takes No Prisoners At The White House Correspondents Dinner

101st Annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner - Inside Arrivals

Saturday Night Live’s Cecily Strong was the host on Saturday for the 2015 White House Correspondents Dinner. Congratulations to Cecily for making history. She was the first straight woman to host the event in 20 years. She counted it as finally, a real victory for heterosexuals everywhere.

Not only did she break that glass ceiling for straight females, she broke more than a few balls along the way. Her 20 plus minutes of remarks had just about an equal part of moans and gasps along with laughs at the Washington Hilton, which also didn’t escape her comments. “If these walls could talk, they’d probably say ‘Clean me'”. Cecily’s monologue included insults aimed at President Obama, including his lack of handling ISIS, not showing up in Paris with other world leaders after the Charlie Hebdo massacre and how much he’s aged in office. As Cecily put it, “Your hair is so white now, it can talk back to the police”.

Cecily went after just about every media outlet that was represented at the WHCD including her own network. She said, “What can I say about Brian Williams? Nothing because I work for NBC.” One of her prime targets was disgraced Illinois Congressman Aaron Shock who resigned after allegedly living a lavish lifestyle and billing the government for it. He’s accused of using federal money for redecorating his office in the style of Downton Abbey and taking friends on an expensive trip to Saudi Arabia. Cecily spent time during her speech to show some slides of her trips with Rep. Shock.

She also commented on the field of Presidential candidates for the 2016 race or as she called them, “A who’s who of who’s that?”. Plus, she made the reporters in the room take a special oath for the next Presidential election news cycle. One of her closing comments was for the President. She said, “You’re a lot like Madonna. You’ve both given this country so much, but in like a year and a half, you gotta stop.”
