Chris Evans & Jeremy Renner Pissed Off Internet With Black Widow Joke

Avengers Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Captain America (Chris Evans) made a joke about fellow Avenger Black Widow being a “slut”. Well the joke is in the video below, but the apologies are already out.

Here’s Chris Evans’, “Yesterday we were asked about the rumors that Black Widow wanted to be in a relationship with both Hawkeye and Captain America. We answered in a juvenile and offensive way that rightfully angered some fans. I regret it and sincerely apologize.”

And here’s Jeremy Renner’s, “I am sorry that this tasteless joke about a fictional character offended anyone. It was not meant to be serious in any way. Just poking fun during an exhausting and tedious press tour.”

So Hawkeye and Captain America slut-shamed Black Widow? Smooth move, jackasses. There goes the franchise.
