Aziz Ansari is team up with the co-creator of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” for a new series that be exclusive to Netflix. Working with Ansari and Schur, will be Parks and Rec’s co-executive producer Alan Yang.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the new show will be 10 episodes and doesn’t have a title yet. The cast is set though featuring H. Jon Benjamin, who’s already working on the “Wet Hot American Summer” prequel series on Netflix, Lena Waithe from HBO’s “The Comeback”, Eric Wareheim of Tim and Eric, Noël Wells who was an SNL cast member during Season 39 and Kelvin Yu who writes for FOX’s “Bob’s Burgers”. No details are out about the premise of the new Aziz Ansari series, but it’s expected to be loosely based on Ansari’s life. Production is underway in New York City.

There’s already plenty of Aziz Ansari to see on Netflix. His comedy special “Buried Alive” was produced for the streaming service and featured Aziz’s stand up with footage of his worldwide tour. His other comedy hours, “Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening” and “Dangerously Delirious” are also available on Netflix.
