Louis C.K., Kevin Hart Animated “Pets” Movie Gets Summer 2016 Release


Louis C.K. and Kevin Hart are going to be a couple of animals in Summer 2016. The new animated feature “The Secret Life of Pets” is moving from a February 2016 release to July 8th, 2016. The Illumination and Universal Pictures move shows that the studios believe that they have a shot at having the animated comedy film of the Summer.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “The Secret Lives of Pets” is about “the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day”. Those pets’ voices will be provided by Louis C.K. as Max the Terrier and Kevin Hart as Snowball the Rabbit, expect some small jokes at Hart’s character’s expense. The movie is stacked with a huge amount of comedic talent. It co-stars the voices of Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan, Lake Bell, Ellie Kemper and Albert Brooks.
Illumination is the studio behind other animated hits including “Despicable Me” and its sequels “Despicable Me 2” and “Minions”, plus “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax”. “The Secret Lives of Pets” is directed by Chris Renaud who helmed “Despicable Me”.
