Kevin Hart “Comedic Genius” Recipient At Upcoming MTV Movie Awards
MTV is bringing back its “Comedic Genius Award” for this year’s movie awards show. The first and last time the Comedic Genius Award was given out was at the 2013 ceremony when Will Ferrell was presented with the inaugural honor. Kevin Hart currently co-stars in the comedy “Get Hard” with Will Ferrell, in theaters now.
MTV announced the awards with the statement saying Kevin Hart was selected for his “bold and irreverent comedic style that has captivated audiences from his movies and sitcoms, to stand-up specials, award show performances and in front of packed arenas of fans.”
Variety reports that Jimmy Kimmel will at the MTV show to present Kevin Hart with the Comedic Genius Award. Amy Schumer will host the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 12th at 8pm on MTV.
