Vacation Reboot Now A Summer Comedy Release

New Line studios is moving “Vacation” starring Ed Helms from a Fall release to July. This gives the latest “Vacation” sequel a chance to be the big 2015 Summer comedy. Originally set for an October 9th debut, the studio will release the comedy on July 30th as a counter to “Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation”. That’s according to the Hollywood Reporter.
This year’s “Vacation” release is a sequel to the “Vacation” series which starred Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo. Ed Helms stars as grownup Rusty Griswald who is now following in his father Clark’s footsteps and taking his family on an overly ambitious vacation. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will make cameos in the film which also stars Chris Hemsworth, Leslie Mann, Christina Applegate and Charlie Day.
