Will Ferrell Shares Some Footage From His Big Day of Baseball, Spills Some Dirt About SNL40

He may have been dressed like a giant leprechaun but Will Ferrell was calling out someone else for looking bad last night on Letterman. Ferrell called out Bill O’Reilly for his unpleasant puss during the SNL40 celebration. O’Reilly wouldn’t crack a smile leaving Ferrell to believe that he wasn’t enjoying his evening. Either that, or he’s a real student of comedy.
Ferrell also talked about his much publicized experience playing for ten teams in one day for Spring Training last week to raise money for “Cancer for College” and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Burt Campaneras who played all 9 positions for the Kansas City A’s in one game. He admitted to some terrifying moments, like trying to hit a 90 mph fast ball. The high of the day was getting a foul tip, and the lowlight came when he played left field for the Diamondbacks. When he entered the game they were down 9-1, but he helped bring that to a 12-1 deficit. Turns out that making jokes in that situation was not helpful.
Later Ferrell put his leprechaun costume to good use and sang some Danny Boy for St Patricks Day. Letterman says the outfit tells him that Ferrell is Irish and celebrating. We’re thinking this means another movie where Ferrell plays another giant version of a tiny mythical being whose story revolves around a holiday.
