Jimmy Kimmel’s Spots For Local Austin Video Store
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” is in Austin, Texas all this week for the SXSW Festival. While Jimmy’s in the City of the Violet Crown, he wanted to give back for all the Texas hospitality that’s been shown to him. He chose a local business which could use the help of some Jimmy Kimmel magic and star power.
Vulcan Video is a store that still rents videos including thousands of titles on VHS. In the 21st century of streaming services, this is business that could use a boost. Jimmy Kimmel recruited Oscar winner and Texas’ favorite son Matthew McConaughey to put together a series of homegrown ads for Vulcan and its owner Brian. There’s plenty to cover in these new spots, including Vulcan Video’s extensive collection of Asian Horror and Jerry Lewis films, plus there’s the free parking.
