Josh Gad Joins Disney’s Live Action “Beauty And The Beast”

Josh Gad is continuing his relationship with Disney studios. He’s been cast in the live action remake of Disney’s 1991 animated feature “Beauty and The Beast”. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Gad will play Le Fou, the goofy, but loyal sidekick to the movie’s villain, Gaston.
Josh Gad is no stranger to playing comic relief in Disney movies. He played the voice of Olaf the Snowman in Disney’s giant cartoon hit “Frozen”. He voices Olaf again in the new short, “Frozen Fever” which will run before screenings of Disney’s live action Cinderella which opens this weekend. And he’ll also be part of the “Frozen 2” sequel.
“Beauty and The Beast” already stars Harry Potter’s Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens (Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, The Cobbler) as the Prince who turns into the Beast, plus Luke Evans (The Hobbit movies) as the evil Gaston. Josh Gad is the only American cast so far in a major role.
Disney’s live action “Beauty and The Beast” is due out in theaters in 2016.
