Eddie Murphy May Join Richard Pryor Bio Pic
The new Lee Daniels film about the life of Richard Pryor may be bringing Eddie Murphy on board. Murphy would be playing the late comedian’s father, LeRoy Pryor in the new film. Entertainment Tonight confirmed that Eddie is in negotiations to play Pryor’s dad who was also a former boxer.
ET also announced that Kate Hudson has been added to the cast to play Richard Pryor’s 4th and 7th wife, Jennifer Lee Pryor who is also a producer on the bio pic. Kate Hudson was known to be up for the part against Anne Hathaway. She joins a cast that already includes Oprah Winfrey as Richard Pryor’s grandmother, Marie Carter and Mike Epps who will star as the legendary comic. Winfrey is also part of the producing team.
The speculation about Eddie Murphy being part of the film started when director Lee Daniels posted of photo of the two of them together on Instagram.
