Jon Stewart Asks Rob Corddry “What’s It Like on the Outside?”

Former Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry returns to the Daily Show to sit in the guest chair and promote the season premier of Children’s Hospital on Adult Swim. This is the guest chair that Tom Cruise has sat in, Desmond Tutu has sat in that chair, Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, but Jon Stewart says he’s never seen an ovation like the one Corddry got.

Since Rob was “in” at the Daily Show and then left, Jon asks him for some advice on what life is like on the outside. Jon says he noticed that when former members of the cast come back on the show, they seem healthier, happier, younger, and full of life. For starters, Jon gets up at 6:30am. Rob does not. Corddry credits his improvements with not having his life run by “the news of the day.” He’s no longer watching 24 hour news channels by the fistful, in fact, he’s completely out, and it’s been soul changing. Oh and an impossible amount of cocaine.
