Kevin Hart CinemaCon’s Comedy Star Of The Year
The National Association of Theatre Owners(known as ‘the other NATO’)will name Kevin Hart the Comedy Star of the Year at their annual gathering, CinemaCon. Mitch Neuhauser, the head of CinemaCon, told BET, “With a tireless work ethic and a comedic timing that is unlike no other, Kevin Hart has become box-office gold, with his films drawing moviegoers to the theaters in droves.”
He added that Kevin Hart is, “An outstanding comedic talent and one of the most entertaining comedians in film today, Kevin has brought laughter to audiences around the world, cementing himself at the top of the box office. We could not be more thrilled than to honor him with the ‘CinemaCon Comedy Star of the Year Award.'”
In the past year, Kevin Hart’s films “Ride Along”, “About Last Night”, “Think Like a Man Too” and this January’s “The Wedding Ringer” have grossed $315 million at the box office. Kevin’s next film, “Get Hard” co-starring Will Ferrell is out in theaters on Friday, March 27th.
Kevin will be presented with the CinemaCon “Comedy Star of the Year” Award at this year’s ceremony on Thursday, April 23rd in Las Vegas.
