Julia Louis-Dreyfus Is Now The Prez On “Veep”

Even though Julia Louis-Dreyfus has reached higher office, HBO is sticking with the name “Veep” in the new season 4. At the end of last season, POTUS resigned, making Louis-Dreyfus’ character VP Selina Meyer the new President of the United States.
In a new HBO preview of “Veep”, now that she’s in charge, Selina Meyer wants everyone hailing to the chief. Not everything is smooth sailing though, now that she’s reached her political goal. The country’s most awkward yet ambitious politician still has a campaign to face to get elected in her own right. Plus, we find out that Obama isn’t the only President that’s dependent on a functioning teleprompter. President Meyer will be struggling just as much as when she was Vice-President.
The new trailer also gives “Veep” fans a look at season 4’s guest stars, Kevin Dunn, Diedrich Bader, Gary Cole and Hugh Laurie in an unannounced role. Given his experience on “House”, we can only hope he plays the cranky Surgeon General.
“Veep” co-stars Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott and Timothy Simons. The season 4 premiere of “Veep” happens Sunday, April 12th at 10:30pm et on HBO.
