Dakota Johnson Announces She’s Hosting SNL On SNL

It’s not often someone gets to announce they’re hosting Saturday Night Live on live television, but that’s how it worked out for Dakota Johnson. During Jerry Seinfeld’s live Q&A on SNL 40, Dakota talked about hosting Saturday Night Live on February 28th.
She’s currently the star of the Valentine’s Day weekend box office hit “Fifty Shades of Grey”. It will be interesting to see how SNL parodies the film. The Saturday Night Live props department may spend the week shopping for riding crops and handcuffs.
Dakota Johnson did ask Seinfeld what it’s like to host SNL, but she could ask her mom Melanie Griffin who hosted the show in 1988. This may be the first case of a parent and child both hosting Saturday Night Live. It’s at least the most recent SNL parent – offspring connection since former cast member Chris Elliott’s daughter Abby Elliott joined the cast in 2008.
According to TVLine, no musical guest has been announced yet. Dakota Johnson hosts Saturday Night Live on Saturday, February 28th at 11:30 on NBC.
