Your #1 Favorite Comedy Show, John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight, Returns This Week.

Last year was the last time we saw Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He’s back this weekend on HBO with the premiere of season 2 of his comedy series. John Oliver wrapped up his first season last November to huge praise from the media. The L.A. Times, the Hollywood Reporter, Time, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone all had “Last Week Tonight” on their Best of 2014 lists.
“Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” was also voted the Best in Comedy Television by the readers of The Interrobang.
He may have missed “Deflate-Gate”, but Oliver is back this weekend to take on more national and international scandals and controversies including any upcoming 2016 Presidential election speculation. Last season, John Oliver covered issues like Scottish Independence, state lotteries, FIFA and the Russians launching geckos into space.
According to his promos, John Oliver is ready to do more of the same in season 2 of “Last Week Tonight”. Maybe with just less space lizards.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver premieres Sunday, February 8th at 11pm et on HBO.
