New Melissa McCarthy – Ben Falcone Comedy Collaboration Gets 2016 Release Date
The next project for the husband and wife team of Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy is due out Wednesday, April 8th, 2016. Their latest comedy is “Michelle Darnell” based on a character Melissa created with the Groundlings in Los Angeles.
The Hollywood Reporter describes “Michelle Darnell” as “a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she leaves prison hoping to rebrand herself, she finds that not everyone is ready to forgive and forget.”
The movie is produced by McCarthy and Falcone along with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Falcone is directing the film as well as co-writing it with Steve Mallory.
The last time Mr. & Mrs. Falcone teamed up was for last year’s Summer comedy “Tammy” which the two co-wrote.
