Jim Harbaugh’s Other Career Option: Actor
By all accounts, Michigan alumnus Jim Harbaugh is expected to return to Ann Arbor as head coach, Reportedly, the school’s private jet has been sitting in the Bay Area all day waiting to fly him back. But what if Harbaugh had a change of heart Monday and decided to take a sabbatical? What would he do for money? Well, with the IndyCar team pretty much defunct, he could rely on his other side job: acting.
In 1994, he appeared as himself on Saved By The Bell: The New Class, supposedly the cousin of Screech, played by recently-stabby Dustin Diamond.
Harbaugh would later guest star in the final episodes of the western sci-fi The Adventures Of Brisco County, Jr., alongside linebackers Carl Banks and Ken Norton, Jr. They were part of a posse ran by Terry Bradshaw, who would give his orders like a quarterback.
Harbaugh’s last major role was as himself in an episode of Arliss in 1997; since then, he’s mostly been seen in commercials, like this one recorded back in 1996.
