Ricky Gervais Challenges Tina Fey And Amy Poehler
Ricky Gervais is throwing down a challenge to this year’s Golden Globe hosts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Former 3 time Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais is once again a nominee, this time for Best Performance by an Actor in a Comedy Series for his Netflix series, “Derek”. He’s going into the ceremony expecting trouble. After years of ripping celebrities to shreds while hosting, Gervais believes he’ll be a prime target for this year’s hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
Talking to Variety, Gervais threw out the challenge to Tina and Amy to try to go after him. “As long as they don’t actually kill me, I’m ready for anything. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me. Amy and Tina, bring it on!”
He added, “I’m going to heckle back. I’m taking on a microphone to have control of the big speaker system so that it’s a fair fight.”
The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be Sunday, January 11th, 2015 at 8 pm et on NBC.
