LA Times Rates The Comics Who Jumped To Movies
In honor of Chris Rock’s film “Top Five”, the LA Times looked at five stand up performers who have made the jump “from the comedy club to the big screen”. The paper selected Rock, Patton Oswalt, Kevin Hart, Sarah Silverman and Dane Cook. They were all judged on the their film resumes. Also, how their stand up and on stage personas translated to the movies they’ve done.
The verdict!?
They pick Kevin Hart as the guy who has a chance at movie stardom for years to come, but were less optimistic about Dane Cook.
