A writer for The Atlantic, admitting unscientific data set out find out what sitcoms gave the most bang for your buck. Of course that means jokes per minute, because that’s what you want when eating on your TV tray watching reruns.
30 Rock came in first with a whopping 7.44 jokes per minute. New Girl was up there with 7.11 laughs every sixty seconds. Parks and Recreation took third with 6.97 laughs on average, per minute! Rounding out the top ten were The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Family Guy, South Park, Frasier, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Louie only did one joke last year, all year, but damn it was brilliant.
