Kristen Schaal Grabs The Spotlight In The Toy Story Holiday Special
Kristen Schaal’s Toy Story character is finally getting a chance to shine in the new ABC holiday special, “Toy Story That Time Forgot”. Kristen is the voice of Trixie the toy triceratops, a character that was introduced in Toy Story 3. But according to Kristen, Trixie didn’t get a lot of camera time and was regulated to a side character. She told the New York Post, “I went to a [Disney] store, and there were all these ‘Toy Story’ plush toys, except for Trixie. They even had the bear that tried to murder everyone! The manager said they sold out [of Trixie], but I was suspicious. I think he was being nice.”
In the Disney holiday special, Trixie is the focus of the story as toys go up against some pretty tough and scary looking playthings called “The Battlesaurs”. Trixie leads the way against the dino-toys.
Kristen will also bring Trixie the toy triceratops back for the next Toy Story feature film being written by Rashida Jones and being released in 2017. If you’re not familiar with Kristen Schaal’s voice work, you can hear her on Bob’s Burgers on FOX and the Bojack Horseman series on Netflix.
Toy Story That Time Forgot airs Tuesday, December 2nd at 8 pm et on ABC.
