Did This Man Save Comedy Central!?

Tune In! Variety's TV Summit

Rolling Stone is giving big props to Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s president of original programming. They didn’t have much when he showed up in 2010 but Kent has been on a roll since taking over.

“When I took the job, the network was The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, South Park – and the ghost of Dave Chappelle,” Alterman said.

He’s turned the platform over to Inside Amy Schumer, Key & Peele, Broad City, Nathan for You, Drunk History, Review and Workaholics and put great stand up shows on the air like Dave Attell’s Comedy Underground Live.  Even before coming to the network, Alterman was involved in developing great comedy programming with television shows like Strangers with Candy, and movies like Elf.

Great! So then where is Jim Norton’s show?
