First of all, no one else in comedy is doing a Merkel. Secondly, Kate brings a hysterical twist on the Germany’s “resting bitch face” chancellor by making the all business leader ready to break out of her cold Germanic exterior and turn her back on Barack Obama, but “in the fun way”. McKinnon has the look down especially when she’s dangerously close to German kissing Update host Colin Jost.
