South Park Drops Limited Edition Vinyl On Black Friday
Comedy Central Records announced that on Black Friday as part of National Record Store Day, they will be releasing a South Park limited edition 7-inch vinyl picture disc featuring two tracks from two of their classic episodes. There will only be 2,500 copies of the picture disc released.
One track is “James Cameron” from the Emmy Award wining episode “Raising the Bar”. In “Raising the Bar”, America’s love of Honey Boo Boo plus Cartman’s attitude towards his obesity have lowered the bar of behavior in society. Director James Cameron is on a mission to raise the bar, which he thinks is an actual bar, by descending into the ocean and lifting it back up to a proper level. The song “James Cameron” is a salute to our most heroic film director of all time. After all, it was South Park’s James Cameron who said, “James Cameron doesn’t do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron.”
The other South Park song featured on the picture disc is from the episode called “The Hobbit”. The theme of the episode is female body image, and Kanye West (a favorite South Park target) travels to South Park and around the world to prove that his wife Kim Kardashian is not a hobbit. Leading to the South Park single, “My Bitch Ain’t No Hobbit”.
The South Park limited edition 7-inch vinyl picture disc will be available on Black Friday, November 28th which is also National Record Store Day.
