Eddie Murphy Going Dramatic

Eddie Murphy will be doing a dramatic twist with career in a new film directed by Bruce Beresford. According to Inside Film, he’ll be playing the part of “a cook who is hired by a dying man to prepare meals for his girlfriend and her daughter when he passes”. The untitled film starts shooting next month in New Orleans.
The role was originally cast with Samuel L. Jackson who had to drop out of the film because of a scheduling conflict.
Eddie isn’t abandoning comedy altogether. He’ll be working with director Brett Ratner on “Beverly Hills Cop 4” and it’s been announced that he be doing the sequel to “Twins” with Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger and director Ivan Reitman.
