Andy Samberg’s Failed SNL Characters Gerard and Gerald

Andy Samberg is making his rounds on the Late Night circuit to promote Brooklyn Nine-Nine season two which premiers this Sunday. He shared that there will be great guest starts this year, names like Ed Helms, Kyra Sedgwick, T.O., and Jenny Slate. Andy and Seth reminisced about working together on SNL a bit and we learned that Andy created a character named Gerald, the guy who was always sick. And then there was another guy, Gerard, the worst dude ever. Why didn’t Gerald and Gerard make it to the show?
