Conan O’Brien And Chris Hardwick Remember Joan Rivers
Conan O’Brien took a moment from interviewing Chris Hardwick and the two of them talked about their heartfelt memories of the iconic Joan Rivers.
Conan talked about being a kid and how when Joan would fill in for Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show, it became event television. He mentioned that Joan is known for knocking down barriers for women, but at the same time her gender didn’t matter because she was just plain hilarious.
Chris Hardwick had a more personal connection. He saw Joan Rivers open for Johnny Carson in Las Vegas. If you’re trying to do the math, Chris was 4 at the time and his parents took him to Vegas. He also became friends with Joan just a couple of years ago. She would call him for advice on things like the internet. Chris said it was that kind of curiosity that kept her edge sharp into her 80s.
