The Bashing of Lana Del Rey

Internet hipster sensation Lana Del Rey created a firestorm all over the internets over the weekend due to her performance on Saturday Night Live. People are bashing her left and right, saying it was one of the worst musical performances ever on the show. Even Brian Williams got involved: an email he had sent criticizing Gawker for not being more critical of Del Rey was somehow intercepted by the folks at Gawker.  It’s good to know celebrities can be douchebag trolls too.

Did the internet jump the gun here?   There have been far worse SNL performances.  I’ll bet you’ve already forgotten the Ashlee Simpson lip syncing debacle.  And, also, let’s not forget Ke$ha’s done the show before. Judge for yourself and let us know what you think.
