@Midnight Coming Back For A Second Season
Chris Hardwick and his game show for comedians, @Midnight, are getting a second season on Comedy Central.
@Midnight has been picked up for a 40 week run in 2015. Hardwick made the announcement about a second season while appearing on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
The show that features a panel of 3 comedians who navigate pop culture and the internet while trying to top each other with jokes will now follow “The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore” starting in January of 2015. Wilmore’s show is replacing the Colbert Report when Stephen Colbert moves to CBS to take over the Late Show from David Letterman.
Hardwick said – “@midnight has been an absolute dream come true for me — a game show of Internet jokes with my comedian friends. I cannot thank Comedy Central enough for letting us continue. If they hadn’t, you can damn well bet that I would have forced people to come over to my house to play it anyway, for no audience, so everyone is thankful we dodged that bullet.”
@Midnight is nominated for an Emmy this year for outstanding interactive program.
