Neal Brennan Calls Louie the Kale of Television

Neal Brennan is starting a new TV gig tonight. So he’s taking on the big dog right off the bat. He calls Louis CK’s “Louie” the “Kale of Television” among other things. The words low-brow and despicable come up as well.
“I love Louie’s stand up, I love the stand up sections of the show. I find the narrative to be non-existent, and kind of sloppy and kind of lazy. So I’m putting him in low brow and despicable. Louis is the Kale of television.”
The Approval Matrix, hosted by Neal Brennan (co-creator of Chappelle’s Show, and recurring director for Inside Amy Schumer) is inspired by New York Magazine’s pop culture roundup Executive produced by Rory Albanese, the show premieres tonight on SundanceTV at 11/10c.
