Damon Wayans Jr and Jake Johnson, Comedy Team
Damon Wayans Jr. and Jake Johanson, have a kind of comedy marriage, they told Jimmy Kimmel last night. They were both in the show New Girl, they’re friends in real life and now they co-star in the upcoming movie “Let’s Be Cops.” And they’re adorable together, flirting and teasing and pulling each other’s pigtails. They had so much fun making the movie, that Jake used some interesting persuasive techniques to get Damon to come back to New Girl. When do you know when you’re official “comedy partners”? When one comedy partner tells the other comedy partner that he will “leave his wife and put drugs in his butt” to get you back on his show.
Wayans and Johnson also talk about filming an uncomfortable wrestling scene for Let’s Be Cops that involved a really big butt naked, super sweaty wrestler from Samoa. It’s not clear whose idea it was for the scene to be underwear-less, but both Damon and Jake agree they were “disappointed” when the wrestler took his robe off.
