Star Wars: Stewart Versus Colbert For Charity
Fairly recently in our own galaxy, two Comedy Central hosts faced each other in a battle of the force, lightsabers and Princess Leia hairstyles.
The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report fought it out to see which one is the biggest Star Wars fan. Their epic conflict was part of the Star Wars: Force For Change charity to benefit UNICEF’s innovation labs and programs which help kids around the world.
The Stewart / Colbert video promoted how a Star Wars fan can win a walk-on part in the new J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode 7 by donating at Omaze.com The proceeds from donations will go to projects like portable, solar-powered learning kits being built in China, Uganda, and Burundi, mobile phone applications in South Sudan and Uganda, and used in the Philippines, that helps reunite children with their families after an emergency and a text messaging system in Zambia that helps families receive infant medical test results from clinics.
